Job Title: Health and Wellness Coordinator

Native Montreal is a holistic service centre dedicated to Indigenous people living in Montreal. The organization is entering a new phase of development aimed at strengthening and expanding its health and wellness services through the creation of new programs, services, and initiatives tailored to the evolving needs of the community.
This growth is focused on developing services that respond to the needs of diverse populations and realities, including traditional health, wellness, nutrition, perinatal support for parents, and health services for youth, families, and Elders. The Health and Wellness Coordinator will play a key role in bringing this vision to life and in developing the department’s expanded offerings.
Position Purpose
Reporting to the Director of Health and Wellness, the Health and Wellness Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and developing the programs, services, and projects of the Health and Wellness Department by leading the implementation of new initiatives that respond to the needs of the community. The Coordinator plays a central role in planning, deploying, and integrating these initiatives while ensuring their alignment with Native Montreal's strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Design, plan, coordinate, and lead the implementation of new health and wellness initiatives, programs, projects, and services that respond to community needs.
Structure projects in collaboration with the Director and clinical teams, and ensure their successful integration into the clinic's day-to-day operations.
Identify needs, priorities, and opportunities for development to support the continuous evolution of programs and services.
Develop, document, and optimize the processes, tools, and coordination mechanisms required to implement and sustain the department's programs and services.
Contribute to identifying, developing, tracking, and administering funding opportunities for new services, and coordinate the implementation of funded projects while monitoring commitments, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
Support the coordination, integration, and functional supervision of staff and resources assigned to new programs, services, or projects.
Represent the Health and Wellness Department on committees, working groups, and with internal and external partners, as delegated by the Director.
Monitor project performance indicators, outcomes, budgets, and deliverables, and contribute to the preparation of reports, accountability documents, and funding reports for the Director and funding agencies.
Serve as the primary point of contact for members and families accessing the programs, services, or projects under their responsibility.
Coordinate service pathways, as required, to ensure a seamless, accessible, and culturally safe member experience.
Establish feedback mechanisms, respond to member feedback, and recommend improvements to the programs and services under their responsibility.
Provide occasional administrative and operational support to ensure the continuity and smooth delivery of clinic services.
Perform any other related duties consistent with the responsibilities of the position or required to support the development and operations of the Health and Wellness Department.
Profile Sought
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in administration, management, health administration, intervention, community health, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in coordinating projects or services, and in implementing or developing services (health, community, or social services).
Work experience in an Indigenous environment or with urban Indigenous populations (strong asset).
Experience or involvement in writing funding applications, implementing funded projects, or tracking deliverables (important asset).
Experience collaborating with institutional or community partners (asset).
Criminal background check required.
Skills and Competencies
Strong organizational, coordination, and project management skills.
Ability to translate directions into structured, concrete actions and support service implementation.
Excellent communication skills in French and English (spoken and written). English is required for this position in order to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with partners, members, and/or stakeholders whose working language is English.
Strong understanding of urban Indigenous realities and issues related to access to care and services.
Ability to work within a culturally safe approach in a multidisciplinary and evolving environment.
Autonomy, rigor, strong sense of priorities, initiative, and professional judgment.
Proficiency with standard office software; knowledge of clinical tools or databases (asset).

Working Conditions
Full-time position (35 hours/week), schedule adaptable to clinic and member needs.
Salary based on experience and the organization’s salary scale: $50,000 to $70,649.
Three weeks of vacation after the first year, plus two fixed weeks during the Christmas holiday period.
15 paid sick days per year.
5 paid family responsibility days per year.
