No. Wellness Navigators do not provide supervised visits on behalf of the Director of Youth Protection (DYP) and do not replace DYP's role or fulfill court-ordered supervision requirements. When appropriate and with the family's consent, a Wellness Navigator may attend a visit in a supportive capacity to help reduce barriers, promote cultural safety, or provide emotional and practical support. Need help with a support request?
-
No. Native Montreal does not provide legal representation or act as legal counsel. Our legal services focus on providing legal information, helping individuals understand their rights and legal processes, reviewing and explaining documents, supporting self-representation when appropriate, and connecting clients with external legal resources or lawyers when legal representation is required.
-
Not currently. Native Montreal does not operate a housing or shelter program. Our Wellness Navigation team can provide guidance and help clients navigate housing-related challenges by identifying available community resources, discussing possible options, assisting with referrals or applications when appropriate, and advocating in certain situations. While we can help clients navigate the process, we do not search for housing or secure accommodations on their behalf. Need help with a support request?
-
Yes, in many cases. If you have previously received Wellness Navigation services and require support again, you can submit a new support request through our website using our Support Request Form or directly through your Member Portal. A member from the navigation team will review your request and discuss your current situation to determine the most appropriate next steps. Depending on how much time has passed and whether your circumstances have changed, we may reopen your existing file or complete a new intake to ensure we have the most up-to-date information and can provide the support that best meets your current needs.
