Indigenous Languages
Registration open now!
Winter 2025 Language Courses will begin the week of January 12, 2025.
Native Montreal is proud to be able to contribute to the revitalization of Indigenous languages by offering free Indigenous language classes to its members living in the greater Montreal area.
These introductory classes for adults (for ages 13+) are intended to provide opportunities for Indigenous peoples who are at beginner or intermediate levels to learn their languages in an Indigenous community setting.
*For ages 13 and younger please visit the children's language classes page to register children.
We will prioritize the children of parents who are taking a language class this semester.
*For Adult language classes offered in French, please visit the Langues autochtones page.
*Pour les 13 ans et moins, veuillez visiter la page des cours de Langue pour enfants pour inscrire vos enfants.

All personal information is treated confidentially and can only be accessed by employees responsible of Native Montreal programs.
Only one application is accepted per semester, so please choose carefully which course you are interested in the most.
Priority:
Since our classes have a limited number of places, we have established a priority list that reflects the needs of our greater Montreal community:
1- Indigenous member (First Nations, Inuit and Métis)
2- Non-Indigenous member who is linked to an indigenous person (foster care, parent, children, partner...)
3- Non-Indigenous member who works with the community (social worker, nurse...)
4- Non-Indigenous member.
Please note that the date of registration will also be added to the priority listed above.
