10th Annual General Assembly (AGA)

Wednesday, November 20st, 6:30 p.m.

Do you want to encourage a great example of Indigenous self-determination? If so, participate in Native Montreal’s Annual General Assembly. We were created by Indigenous community members to serve our urban community and we need members involved in our governance!


Details

  • All Indigenous and non-Indigenous members can participate, but as described in our bylaws only Indigenous members will be able to vote and be elected to the board of directors. Voting members are required to complete the process outlined in the Policy for Eligibility Concerning Indigenous Identity prior to the AGA or to bring eligible proof of status (as outlined in the policy) on November 20 prior to the assembly.

  • The AGA will be in person this year at our office;

  • It is necessary to register to participate and the deadline to register is Monday, November 18th at midnight. Registered members will receive confirmation of their registration on the day of the AGA.

Positions up for election are:

  • President

  • Secretary

  • Treasurer

  • Administrator

  • Youth representative

We ask any members interested in a board position to please submit a letter of intent to membership@nativemontreal.com no later than November 18th.
