Do you want to encourage a great example of Indigenous self-determination?
If so, participate in Native Montreal’s Annual General Assembly. We were created by Indigenous community members to serve our urban community and we need members involved in our governance!
Details
All Indigenous and non-Indigenous members can participate, but as described in our bylaws only Indigenous members will be able to vote and be elected to the board of directors. Voting members are required to complete the process outlined in the Membership Criteria for Governance and Access to Services policy prior to the AGA or to bring eligible proof of status (as outlined in the policy) on June 26 prior to the assembly.
The AGA will be in person this year at our office;
It is necessary to register to participate and the deadline to register is Tuesday, June 24th at midnight. Registered members will receive confirmation of their registration on the day of the AGA.
Children are welcome as we will have a child-minding animator on site.
